What we had on the day:
The first ‘Tea station’ was the Kiwi herbal tea experience, with kawa kawa and herbal teas (hot and cold), NZ honey, flower and herb pumpernickel sandwiches, rose and orange biscuits, strawberry meringues and scones with cream and jam.
Then there was an English High Tea table, with leaf Indian tea, cupcakes, club sandwiches, asparagus rolls, and more scones, meringues and chocolates.
Then in the kitchen there was more or an Italian fare with bread and focaccia, Italian biscuits, orange cake, rich chocolate cakes… and coffee!
The last room was for the Japanese tea party, here we had mango agar agar, brown rice crackers, Japanese sweets with bean paste, nashi and persimmons, all served with green tea.
Guests tried different treats and sat around the different rooms …
… or popped outside: we were really lucky to have a balmy afternoon!
Naomi and Jacopo were the two winners of our raffle on the day: a Fair Trade and Slow Food hamper each full of goodies! Congratulations to them, and thank you to everyone who is supporting Oxfam.
How beautiful!
Everything looks wonderful and delicious.
I wish I were there.
Hi to everyone!
Grazie Kazuyo, we missed you!
