Today around 20 members and friends of Food Waitakere visited the Grey Lynn Community Gardens, an inspiring place. Our hosts were gardeners Fionna Hill and Lynne Walker and we would like to thank them for welcoming us. 
Fionna talked about the running of the garden as a community, and also about growing microgrees. We learned a lot about different plants and had time to have a good walk around and admire the produce.
After the garden tour ten of us went to a nearby cafe to have brunch and a chat. It was a lovely day and we definitely look forward to visit more community gardens and get involved too, so watch this place for more gardening news!
